Shipping
Chef's Outlet normally ships via UPS ground.
The on-line store calculates shipping and handling charges based on information
it takes directly from UPS so the shipping charge will depend on the weight
of the products you order, your location as well as the type of shipping
service you choose. You may specify second day or overnight UPS shipping
as well on the secure site. We may, at our discretion, ship some orders
via U.S. Priority Mail.
We no longer accept international orders.
The number of chargebacks, losses, credit card frauds and customs delays
has grown to the point that international sales as a whole represent a
net loss to our company. The exception, of course, is U.S. military personnel
on active duty overseas. We gladly continue to support our military people
with APO or FPO postal service addresses. These orders must be shipped
through the US Postal Service. APO/FPO customers should choose ground
transportation on your order.
Sales to Minors
Chef's Outlet does not sell to minors. If
you are under 18 years of age, please have a parent or guardian place
an order for you.
Mail Order
If you prefer to prepay, you may order by
mail. Simply enclose a note explaining what you want with a money order
or cashier's check for the amount of the products you want plus $6.00
S&H.
Returns
We will accept returns of brand new, unused
merchandise that includes all the original packaging with no questions
asked for up to 30 days after the invoice date. We cannot accept used
merchandise or returns that are incomplete (original packaging and included
documents.) Defective products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
We can help you get a replacement for a defective product during the first
30 days after invoice date. After that, we ask that you contact the manufacturer
directly for warranty action. Most manufacturers have very liberal
warranty policies. If you need to return a product simply package it in
the same manner in which you received it and send it with the invoice

Security
Chef's Outlet utilizes the latest technology
in secure internet order processing. When you complete your order on line,
the secure server will send a "cookie" to your computer. This
cookie resides in memory and disappears as soon as you leave the secure
server. No cookie is written to your hard drive. The cookie ensures that
your credit card number is transmitted in encrypted form along with decoding
information for the secure server. This ensures that your credit card
number cannot be stolen and used fraudulently. You must have cookies enabled
on your browser in order to place an on-line order. Otherwise you will
need to order by telephone.
Ordering on our secure server is safer than
giving your credit card number over the telephone or giving it to a sales
clerk in a store. We print your order directly from the secure server
and, once the order is retrieved, the credit card number is erased permanently
from the order database on the secure server. Your credit card number
is never transmitted across the internet in a form useable by anyone or
anything other than our secure server. No security breaches have ever
been reported.

We have never sent unsolicited e-mail. We send occasional private sale
mailings to our customers who request them by using our private sale list
signup form. We always provide instructions for immediate removal with
all mailings and honor them immediately. We value your business too much

Catalogs
We get requests for printed catalogs daily.
We do not print catalogs. This web site is our catalog and our current
price list. Unlike printed catalogs, this on-line catalog is always
current and complete and available for your use 24 hours per day.
